I just finished my landing strip (think non-perverse), and I must say my life has already begun to change. No longer am I spending countless minutes searching frantically for my keys. My ID badge isn’t going to be wedged in between the couch cushions anymore. And my wallet isn’t going to be in one of the ice trays in the freezer. (I once knew someone who seriously looked in there when he couldn’t find his wallet).
Because they will always be in the same place everytime.
A landing strip is basically some place where you can throw all of your junk when you enter your home. It is usually placed near your front door. As you can see, I put my cell phone, keys, ID badge, and wallet into a little tray on my credenza. When I have mail, I just dump it off on the console to read later. To keep things minimalistic, the only other thing on the surface is a lamp. It just makes things so much easier.
Do I still have problems in my life? Actually, I don’t anymore. That was literally the very last complication in my life. Finding a place to put my paper wallet when I got home. Haha.

Yes. Another good thing is a box to put your outgoing mail in. I have an obvious one on the way outside. Now if I just could figure out a “where are they” box for my glasses, but I put my glasses down all over the house. Maybe I need multiple glasses boxes where I tend to be.

That is a good idea, or maybe having an assigned spot for them in each room. Nightstand in the bedroom, coffee table in the living room, counter in the kitchen, on top of the toilet roll in the bathroom, etc. Boxes are nice, but they could also be considered clutter if you have too many of them lying around your house. Just my thoughts.
