Works has been having an art workshop all week, so I stopped by for a ‘zine session.  It was a great way to pass the time as I waited for the UPS doo to drop off my panoramic photos.

Julia invited us over to her place for yet another BBQ (and for the record, I don’t I will ever get sick of BBQs).  As always there was a lot of laughs and food.

The infamous Cacks gave me his signature necklock towards the end of the night.

One of the many hilarious moments of the night was when Julia and Marc told me that they were “decompositioning” their food scraps.  Mark and I asked them,”You mean composting?”  And second of all you have to dig a hole and bury the scraps, not just throw the egg shells and banana peels on top of the plants.  HAHAHAHAH.  Good effort though guys!

Macaframa was also being looped the entire night.

JP and Neiman had their big bday bash bbq today at the park.  This time we pulled all the stops.  Dan came through with generators and a bounce house, so we were able to power up the DJ booth.  Our resident DJs Jeff and Ryan discotequed the bbq out. There was a pinata that made it rain sweets from the sky.

It’s crazy, but I think every get-to that we have always ends up topping the last get-to.  Good times with all the homies.

Oh and the picture of me grilling like an idiot was taken by Joe.  He’s going to San Francisco State to major in photography soon.  He will be famous.

Who celebrates on the Fourth of July nowadays anyway?  The entire country.  Oopps.  Well, we celebrated on the third day of July, and it was just as chill.  There was plenty of drinks, fried rice, dogs, burgers and jenga to go around.  A BBQ also isn’t complete without kite flying, frisbee, zoo, Scrabble, a bacon grease fire, and a personifying dog either.

Yes.

Darin was host to his birthday bbq at his huge new-ish house in San Jose.   Brendan came through and also brought about half of Costco with him.  Not bad for a Wednesday evening.

There were many funny moments and incidents, including Kevin holding on for dear life over the koi fish pond and Neiman going parallel with the floor after flying off the Indo board.

One of the many mind blowing moments last night included a conversation between Jared, JP and myself.  We were talking about blogs, when Jared mentioned one of his blogosphere heroes.  I was like what the, Matt Rennick is also one of the blogs I follow religiously!  Both of us started to laugh hysterically and yell incoherently for no shorter than 10 minutes.  Then we proceeded to talk about Matt’s  personal life in a little too much detail than we would probably care to admit.

Also:  Sorry about the lack of updates, but the undisclosed location where I have been getting my internet from is currently undergoing renovation.  Hopefully they will get my connection up and running soon.  Haha.

You can’t beat a BBQ with friends, perfect weather, and good food.  Or can you?  Water fight!  I don’t think anybody left the park dry. Make it rain!

Summer is fast approaching.  I can feel it.   Welcome to the goooood life.  Good liiiiiiiiiiiife.

Hit up Ed Levin Park in the Milpeeetat for some fun in the sun on detox Sundays.  Reggie and JP cooked up a storm while Matt and I enjoyed the fruits of their labor. Hahaha.  Watched the Sharks lose game two at the Blue Chip, which was quite depressing.  So there will only be pictures from the park.

My uncle and aunt celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on Saturday, which was fun because I was the ring bearer that many years ago.  Time seriously goes by fast.

After Easter service I went over to sloppy sunday’s at Lake Cunningham.  It was da suc and da WAC (Worlds are Colliding) simultaneously.  What lives we lead.

The morning after. (earlier in the week)

Went to Sacramento on Saturday to pick up Melissa’s new itty bitty bike.  Rushed back to Lake Vasona to catch the tailend of a good impromptu overcast day bbq.

Truly an inspiration.  To think just fifty years ago that there were water fountains designated for certain races.  Now we have a black president.  WOW.  Just wow.

Started the day off by riding out to Los Gatos, to pick up my cousins for the Warriors game since they had an extra ticket.  Used my uncle’s car to carpool to the Oracle Arena.  There must be something about 2009, because when we went to the game they actually won.  When the cheerleaders come out on the floor though, everybody wins.

Can you believe that a couple of pizzas, nachos and a gatorade was $34?

Later in the evening Sarah and Pavel, being the gracious hosts that they are, held a little shindig at their pad.  Rolled up to Pavel grilling up some dogs/burgers and veggies that were T-N-E-L-U-C-C-U-S.  Reference to Cranium, which we later played.  Everybody was eating and laughing, singing karaoke and playing board games.

Not all was fun and games though.  During his state of drunken rage, Alex called me out to a race up and down Communication Hill.  I was taken back, but I knew I was up for a challenge, because he had consistently been beating me up hills as of late.  I accepted.  The stakes:

If I win:  3 bike washes/tuneups from Alex.

If Alex wins:  A roundtrip via Caltrain to San Francisco paid by me.

Tim came up with this awesome flyer.

I cut my little vacation to Southern California short to attend the Race for the New Year in Pleasanton.  The race didn’t seem like it was planned all too well, but I figured the company was good so the race would be good.

Tim and Dennis figuring out where to go.

There had to be at least 15 San Jose riders who made it to the Tri-Valley, which accounted for at least a third of the racers.  When we arrived, things didn’t seem too legit, as none of the checkpoint doos contacted the organizer.  The race commenced anyway, and about half way through most of us pulled out since there were no checkpoint guys.  A few of the guys did finish, and Bennett ended up taking home the grand prize of $60.

I thought JP found the checkpoint guy; but no he just need to piss.

Some girl in a nice little SUV shouted out Mark’s name, so we backtracked and flagged her gas guzzler down.

Luckily Ben lived in the area, so we rode over to his pad, where he graciously threw an impromptu BBQ.  BTW, I’m sitting in my jammies as I write this.
