Almost everybody who is anybody has used Craigslist at one time or another.

Here are two simpleton tips on how to maximize your Craigslist experience.

For buying:

Never bring “exact change.” This gives you the bargaining advantage. Here’s an example.

If an item is listed at $65, bring $80 (in $20 bills), to the transaction. That way if the seller doesn’t have any change, you can say,”Will you take $60 for it?” Chances are they’ll be more inclined to oblige, simply because they might lose a sale if they don’t budge.

If for some reason this doesn’t work, have some extra cash in the car that you can “suddenly remember you had in the glovebox.”

For selling:

Always assume that the buyer will not have exact change. For the same reason mentioned above, have enough legal tender (small bills) so that the buyer can’t pull a fast one on you.

Why on earth would you subscribe to a magazine when there are so many free online digital publications nowadays? Who knows. But I do know that there are a few magazines that I enjoy receiving every month to peruse at my own leisure.

Having a physical copy is useful for reference or inspiration later on when you need it. It also gives you or a guest something to read, and can even be used for coffee table literature.

If you are going to subscribe to a magazine, don’t use the annoying cards that are stuffed into the magazine. Those are usually the full price subscription rates, even though they say that you’re getting a special deal.

Instead, head on over to a website such as bestdealmagazines.com , where you can get the real deals. Coupons are always floating around, so some magazines can be had for a measly $3, for the full year!

I am a huge fan of the movies. Arthouse, indie, Hollywood blockbusters, you name it.

I am, however, not a fan of the absurd ticket prices.

That’s where the discount admit cards come in handy. At my local theater complex, they offer a deal of 10 movie passes for only $50!

That comes out to uhh, 3, 7, carry the 1, 6cm… a whopping $5 per ticket! So check with your local cineplex for some mind-numbingly cheap deals on movies!
